Resistance: Burning Skies will be released for PlayStation Vita on May 30, 2012, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced. Sony says the game will be the world’s first portable dual-analogue FPS.

The game is said to have been created from the ground up to take full advantage of the power of PS Vita, including front and rear touch controls.

Set during the August 1951 Chimeran invasion of the East Coast, you take control of Tom Riley, an everyday firefighter from New Jersey, forced to redefine his notions of duty and heroism – presumably by shooting aliens in the face.

Sony’s also revealed the Burning Skies box art.
