Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition will be released in Japan on December 24. Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition will include the complete game, as well as all the DLC. Currently there’s no release date confirmed for the UK or Europe.

The news has been announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu (courtesy of Gematsu), which also revealed that Resident Evil 7’s Not A Hero DLC will be released in Japan on December 14. The Gold Edition will comprise both of the Banned Footage DLCs, the Chris Redfield boulder punching Not A Hero DLC, and the End of Zoe, which focuses on the continuing story of Zoe Baker after the events of RE7. The End of Zoe DLC will also be available to purchase separately for £11.99.

Resident Evil 7 marks a change for the series, switching the traditional third-person perspective to a first-person viewpoint. The player takes on the role of Ethan Winters, who’s made his way to a derelict plantation in Dulvey, Louisiana to find his wife, Mia. She’s been missing for three years, and things aren’t what they seem at the plantation. Something’s very wrong with Mia, and her hosts the Baker family don’t want to let Mia go, at any cost.

Resident Evil 7 came out in January for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
