PlayStation Underground has polished off a 15-minute gameplay video of Capcom's lush-looking Resident Evil 2 remake, offering an extended glimpse at the bowels of the Raccoon Police Department.

The footage is taken from Claire Redfield's campaign, and sees her scrapping with numerous mutated foes including the fearsome Lickers, which as you might recall have been completely revamped for this updated version of 1998's horror classic.

The morgue also makes an appearance, and as expected, features its former deceased occupants returning as limb-munching undead. The game looks stunning; characters wince in pain, real-time wounds explode on zombies' bodies, and the lighting effects send shadows dancing all over the shop.

Resident Evil 2 is due for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on January 25, 2019. Capcom said during a recent magazine interview that it would consider revamping more titles in the survival horror franchise.
