Capcom announced at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend that Resident Evil 2 is getting a Collector's Edition in the US and Europe.

Coming in a lovely Raccoon Police Department box, the Collector's Edition features a copy of the Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition (so you'll get a bunch of extra costumes, weapons, and deluxe packaging), a Leon S. Kennedy figurine, Ben's File art book, Digital Soundtrack, and R.P.D. Renovation Design Poster.

Franky the whole thing looks bloody fantastic, although let's hope there's no packaging issues this time around, something which marred production of the Resident Evil 7 Collector's Edition.

Framing the art book around a notebook penned by Ben Bertolucci is a nice touch, as he was a journalist after all. Nice one, Capcom.

In the US the Collector's Edition will be exclusive to EB Games and GameStop, where it will set you back $199.99. Capcom will announce details on the European version of the Collector's Edition this week, so hopefully it'll be more or less the same.

Maybe give us a Claire Redfield figurine instead, eh chaps?

Speaking of Claire, Capcom released some new art work for the motorbike-loving zombie-slayer, where she's posing on a Harley-Davidson. Her new look is pretty cool, ditching the denim shorts in favour of something a little more contemporary while still retaining her classic look.

Resident Evil 2 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on January 25, 2019. The game is full-fledged remake of 1998's seminal survival horror classic, although Capcom is making a number of changes to ensure it remains a fresh experience for newcomers and fans alike.
