Upcoming 3DS exclusive, Resident Evil Revelations is a “direct sequel to Resident Evil 5, according to Resi 5 producer Masachika Kawata.
Speaking to US magazine, Nintendo Power, the Capcom man clarified how the game differs from Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.
“Unlike Mercenaries, which is all about shooting action, Revelations is all about survival horror, the very genre Resident Evil established,” Kawata told the magazine. “We actually think of Revelations as a direct sequel to Resident Evil 5 and it will be full of new, innovative ideas and characters.”
We rather liked Resident Evil 5, awarding it 9/10 back in 2009.
