Nintendo has confirmed that Luigi is not dead, despite the lanky plumber apparently being brutally and unceremoniously killed off in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Simon Belmont trailer yesterday.
Fans were up in arms when Mazza's younger bro was cut down by Death's massive scythe in a completely unprovoked attack. Poor Luigi's body hit the dirt, left in a perpetual state of utter horror, while his creepy legless ghost helplessly looked on.
He wasn't seen in the rest of the trailer either, so naturally everyone believed he was brown bread. Only, he's not.
Phew! Still, it's ironic that a bloke who has made a tidy living hoovering up ghosts for years has now become a ghost himself. Or is he? He's not dead, so he's not really a ghost. Or maybe he was, and just re-entered his body again?
My head hurts. Bottom line: Luigi is not dead.
Luigi is okay
