Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Online, the multiplayer component for Red Dead Redemption 2, will roll out as a Public Beta in November.

Billed as an 'evolution' of the original Red Dead Redemption's multiplayer shenanigans, Red Dead Online will marry narrative, competitive, and cooperative elements into one sprawling package, with Rockstar promising 'constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.'

Not much else is known at this point, but Rockstar did say that access to Red Dead Online will be free to anyone who picks up Red Dead Redemption 2.

Rockstar seems to be going down a similar path with Red Dead as it did with Grand Theft Auto 5 five years ago. The core game rolled out first in September 2013, and was followed by Grand Theft Auto Online a month later.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be galloping into stores from October 26 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. And don't worry, there's no chance of any further delays (fingers crossed).
