Ubisoft has detailed the contents of Rainbow Six Siege‘s next season entitled Crystal Guard, featuring new operator Osa.
Osa is a military engineer from Croatia who comes equipped with the Talon-8 Clear Shield. She can deploy it on the ground, in doorframes or windows and allows players to see through as well as provide protection. She’s a medium speed, medium armour Operator and also wields the 556 XI or PDW9 as a primary weapon. Her secondary is the PMM.
The Crystal Guard update also includes an overhaul for three maps: Bank, Coastline and Clubhouse. They’ve been rebuilt from the ground up, Ubisoft say, to “enhance balancing” among other changes. There’s new destroyable walls for more points of entry, and a brand new alleyway in Bank.
Additional updates include Elite customisation, a Flash Detection System, an Armour rework and RIM lighting to highlight opponents. The operators Twitch, IQ, Fuze and Mute have also had balance tweaks.
Ubisoft has also announced that it’ll be welcoming Leon Kennedy from Capcom’s Resident Evil series as an Elite skin. He’ll be available from August 17 as part of the collaboration to celebrate 25 years of the survival horror franchise.
