Ubisoft has detailed plans for year seven(!) of multiplayer shooter Rainbow Six Siege, including a roadmap for the next twelve months.

Once more, there’ll be four seasons, each headed by a new operator with the first entitled Demon Veil. Japanese operator Azami heads up the season, equipped with grenades that solidify into barriers. The season also brings along Attacker Repick, allowing players to change Operator in the Preparation Phase.

Elsewhere, the Demon Veil season includes a permanent Team Deathmatch mode, and Match Replay for console players. There’s also a new country club map set in Ireland. The season also includes a couple of player protection improvements in Privacy Mode and improved disconnect detection.

Further down the line, Year Seven’s subsequent seasons will continue in a similar manner. Expect operators from Singapore, Belgium and Colombia. Seasons two and three will also include new maps, with one of those set in Greece. Season Four will also introduce the long-awaited cross-play cross-progression feature, and a permanent arcade mode.

Given the seven years of updates, new players may find themselves a bit overwhelmed. That’s why Season 7 will add a new Shooting Range area, allowing players to practice, train and get to know the weapons. There’s also a new Operator Tips, helping players learn each of the characters’ nuances.

You can check out a developer diary and the roadmap for Year Seven in Rainbow Six Siege below. We’ll also chuck in the trailer for Year Seven Season 1: Demon Veil too, which lands on the test servers from today, and should be in the main game after a few weeks there.
