The UK chart figures for this past weekend are in, and in what is traditionally a slow week for games sales, Rage 2 has made it to number one in its debut weekend – but it seems it's not quite sold as well as the first game.
According to GamesIndustry.biz from UKIE/GfK data, Rage 2 only managed to sell a quarter of the physical sales of the 2011 original. As GamesIndustry.biz notes of course, digital sales have increased significantly in the intervening eight years, but GSD data suggests that would still only be a 50% increase, and wouldn't make up the deficeit enough to push it better than half the sales of the first Rage. Elsewhere last week's other major new release A Plague Tale: Innocence manages to enter at number 9, and previous chart topper Days Gone takes second place, with MK 11 dropping to 4.
