id Software has revealed that it currently has no plans to bring Rage 2 to Nintendo Switch just yet.
Speaking with DualShockers, studio director Tim Willits revealed that the developer has encountered some 'challenges' with the technology on Ninty's hybrid console.
'Well, we’ve been looking into it. It’s just the technology, there are some challenges,' said Willits, regarding the hardware capabilities of Switch. 'But we’re always looking for future platforms and future people to work with. So, we like to investigate, but we have no plans for that right now.'
Bethesda, who is publishing Rage 2, has previously released a number of major titles for the Switch, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Doom. As such, it seems likely that Rage 2 will eventually come to the console at some point down the road.
The company had previously said that it wasn't sure if Rage 2 would work on Switch.
Rage 2 is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on May 14.
