Brain-taxing sequel Q.U.B.E. 2 will be released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on March 13, developer Toxic Games has announced.

Featuring a brand new cast of characters, the first-person puzzler sees gamers thrust in the role of Amelia Cross, an archaeologist who wakes up on a mysterious alien world with no memory of how she arrived there.

Tapping into the original’s compelling blend of platforming, puzzle solving, and exploration, players must manipulate the environment utilising a pair of special gloves throughout a sprawling, monolithic structure in order to reunite with fellow survivor, Emma Sutcliffe.

Q.U.B.E. 2 offers over 80 different puzzles to tackle, so you had better get your Thinking Caps on if you’re to make it through the game’s 11 chapters, all the while soaking up a compelling tale centred on the themes of trust, isolation, and humanity.

‘We’re very proud of how Q.U.B.E. 2 has shaped up – no pun intended – after nearly five years of development,’ said Toxic Games’ Managing Director, Dan Da Rocha. When we made the first Q.U.B.E. we were still students, but after a half decade of real industry experience we’ve put together the kind of premium product we’ve always dreamed of. We hope you have as much fun playing it as we did making it.’
