First-person puzzler Q.U.B.E. 2 has received a mind-bending new gameplay trailer today courtesy of Toxic Games, with the studio confirming the sequel will launch on PS4, PC, and Xbox One in Q1 2018.

Q.U.B.E. 2 offers the same blend of platforming, brain-aching puzzles, and first-person exploration as its predecessor, only this time with improved controls and even more head-scratchingly complex riddles. We’re also promised a compelling narrative set within a more ‘open-ended framework.’

The gameplay trailer gives you a succinct idea of what to expect from the sequel, as players step into the shoes of heroine Amelia Cross as she awakens on a mysterious planet with no knowledge of how she arrived there. Using a snazzy pair of gloves, Cross must manipulate her environment and make her way through a cerebral labyrinth of fiendish puzzles to locate fellow survivor, Emma Sutcliffe.

‘The Gameplay Trailer shows off the experience players can expect come launch, including improved glove controls and more complex puzzles.  We want to deliver players a title with production values that belie the small team creating it,’ said Toxic Games.
