Quantum Break is “so close to being done”, developer Remedy has teased, suggesting it’s unlikely we’ll see any more delays for the Xbox One shooter.
Speaking on Twitter, Remedy’s PR head Thomas Puha said that there is “not too much time left. #quantumbreak is So close to being done. Team is getting pretty tired, but inspiring to see the camradrie [sic].”
Quantum Break was first announced at the Xbox One reveal back in May 2013, and had previously been due to launch at some time this year. It is now due to launch on April 5.
The game fuses third-person time-warping gunplay with a live action story, and is said to “push cinematic action to the next level”.
“The game is just the beginning,” says publisher Microsoft. “Go deeper into the fast-paced world of Quantum Break with a thrilling live action companion series. Your gameplay affects how the live action story unfolds, creating a completely unique entertainment experience. The fusion between game and show leads to dynamic storytelling unlike anything you’ve experienced.”
