PSP 2010’s top selling console in Japan

Sony’s PSP was the top selling console in Japan during fiscal 2010, running March 29, 2010, through to March 27, 2011. It shifted 2,640,499 units.

The data comes from Enterbrain’s market report for 2010 (transcribed by andriasang).

In second place is the DS, followed by the PS3, Wii, 3DS and then finally Xbox 360. Microsoft’s console sold approximately 600,000 units fewer than the 3DS despite Nintendo’s new handheld only launching in Japan at the end of February 2011.
