Sony may have plans to make PS2 games available on PS4 after a range of PS2 classics were rated for the new console by European age ratings board PEGI.

Ape Escape 2, Dark Chronicle and Twisted Metal: Black were each rated for PS4 by PEGI this morning, although it isn’t yet clear why. Could Sony be in the process of adding them to streaming service PS Now? Or will they be released as individual downloads.

Sony began offering PS2 classics on PS3 in 2012, but has yet to confirm plans to bring them to PS4. It has, however, suggested that they may come to PS Now in the future.

SCEE declined to comment on the ratings when contacted by VideoGamer.com.
