PS Vita Firmware 2.00 will make it possible for users to switch to the web browser without quitting out of games, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has revealed on Twitter.

“One welcome change in tomorrow’s PS Vita FW2.0 will be the web browser becomes a ‘small app’, you won’t have to quit games to use it,” wrote Yoshida.

“That’s little talked about but is a big change, and the browsing itself is faster than the current one :)”

Version 2.00 will be released in Europe on Wednesday, coinciding with the launch of PlayStation Plus which offers members access to Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Chronovolt and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack. Members will also get discounts of a selection of other titles.
