March 2025 has been a fantastic month for video game releases as there has been the launch of WWE 2K25 and the excellent Split Fiction, and soon we are getting the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. While these new releases are exciting, soon PS Plus subscribers will get more games added to the Extra and Premium library. The reveal date for the PS Plus March 2025 Extra and Premium games is right around the corner, and a classic has leaked before Sony pulls the curtain aside.

PS Plus Extra and Premium March 2025 games reveal date

The reveal date for the PS Plus Extra and Premium March 2025 games is March 12th. Sony always reveals the Extra and Premium games on a Wednesday one week after the release of the Essentials. The March 2025 Essentials were given away on March 4th, so Sony’s announcement should occur as expected provided they stick to the usual formula.

Once the additions have been revealed, they should come out to play on March 18th. As for the April 2025 Essentials, they are expected to be identified on March 26th with an official launch confirmed for April 1st.

Make sure to grab the current Essential giveaways before the replacements arrive in April. The current Essential selection includes the excellent Sonic Colors Ultimate, the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection, and the very new Dragon Age Veilguard.

PS Plus Premium March 2025 games leak

A possible leak for PS Plus Premium in March 2025 is the addition of the beloved classic, WALL-E. This comes courtesy of a Taiwan rating spotted and reported on by Gematsu.

In the past, ratings from Taiwan have revealed the additions of classics for the Premium tier. Past examples include Toy Story 3 as well as Pixar’s UP.

While Gematsu states “Wall-E has been rated for PS5 and PS4 in Taiwan,” they are unsure whether it will be the “PS2 or PSP version”. There’s also the chance Wall-E gets added to Sony’s subscription service at a later date, but right now it’s the only leak.

Games leaving Extra and Premium

Below is a list of 10 games known to be leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in March 2025:

  • Resident Evil 3 Remake (Extra)
  • Mortal Kombat 11 (Extra)
  • Dragon Ball Z Kakarot (Extra)
  • Life is Strange 2 (Extra)
  • Life is Strange True Colors (Extra)
  • Street Fighter V (Extra)
  • Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (Extra)
  • Monster Energy Supercross The Official Videogame 6 (Extra)
  • Phoenix Ace Attorney Trilogy (Premium)

All of the above listed games are set to depart on March 18th. It will be a shame to see the departure of the Resident Evil 3 Remake, as well as the much-beloved Mortal Kombat 11.

The Life is Strange series is also very popular, and it’s an especially bad month for fans of fighting games as Street Fighter V is leaving hand-in-hand with Mortal Kombat.

In other gaming news, PlayStation fans can look forward to Indiana Jones joining PS5 very soon.
