PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are set to receive some new additions. While there are unfortunately some great games leaving to make way for these additions, the incoming arrivals are excellent, too. While subscribers have already been treated to Cyberpunk 2077 early, Sony is releasing more very soon, and one of the incoming new PS Plus Extra games has just received a PS5 Pro update delivering “improved visuals and smoother performance”.
New PS Plus Extra games receives PS5 Pro update
More new PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be released on July 15th. Below is what’s coming as per the PlayStation Blog:
- Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (Extra)
- Bluey: The Videogame (Extra)
- Planet Zoo (Extra)
- Risk of Rain 2 (Extra)
- Tropico 6 (Extra)
- New World: Aeternum (Extra)
- Twisted Metal 3 (Premium)
- Twisted Metal 4 (Premium)
In addition to all the above, Abiotic Factor is coming out for Extra on July 22nd.
There are some great games listed above with Twisted Metal 3 and 4 the biggest names. The Twisted Metal series is an iconic blast from the past, and we cannot wait to return. Although nothing is official right now, it’s presumed Twisted Metal 3 and 4 will be available to purchase from the PSN store for non-Premium subscribers similar to Twisted Metal 1.
Aside from Twisted Metal, the other biggest game is arguably Banishers Ghosts of New Eden. This is a fantastic game published by Focus Entertainment that many regard as underrated. It has a “very positive” reception on Steam, and it is an action-RPG where you play as two characters, one dead and one alive, and make meaningful choices with grave consequences.
Ahead of Banishers Ghosts of New Eden joining PS Plus, the game has just received a PS5 Pro patch. As stated by Focus Entertainment on X, this means it will have “improved visuals and smoother performance”.
Whether you are an Extra subscriber who owns a PS5 Pro or not, make sure to give Ghosts of New Eden a chance when it comes out. It has a fantastic story with two great leads, and its gameplay is a lot of fun, too.
In other PlayStation news, speculation about a GTA 4 PS4 port continues beyond leaks thanks to Rockstar Support.
