Publisher Koei Tecmo has announced horror remaster Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water (AKA Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water) will launch on October 28.

If you missed the 2014 Wii U original, you’ll play as Yuri Kozukata, Ren Hojo and Miu Hinasaki as they venture up Mt. Hikami in search of some missing people. Luckily, they’ll have access to the series’ Camera Obscura that allows them to damage malevolent spirits by taking a picture of them.

You’ll upgrade the camera with new parts like bigger lenses as you progress, which will allow you to take on stronger spirits. Defeating spirits will also allow you to find out more about them with the camera’s Glancing ability, unravelling the secrets and mystery behind the disappearances on the mountain.

Along with an enhanced version of the original game, the new release includes a Photo Mode. This will let you use any character – or ghost – from the adventure, position and pose them and add effects and costumes. As the game will also mark the 20th anniversary of the Project Zero/Fatal Frame series, it’ll also be available in a Deluxe Edition with a digital artbook and six costumes inspired by previous characters in the series.
