The new Pokemon game for Nintendo Switch (no, not Pokemon: Let's Go! Pikachu/Eevee, the other one) is definitely going to be something that fans will want to put on their radar.

At least, that's what Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO of developer The Pokemon Company, is hoping for anyway.

Speaking in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine (translated by Siliconera), Ishihara-san drip-fed gamers a few tidbits about the as-yet untitled project, which is due to release for the Big N's hybrid platform in the second half of 2019

He teased that the game will be 'completely different' to Pokemon Let's Go!, and will offer a 'good understanding of what an evolved Pokemon game looks like after it has continued to succeed the traditions of Game Freak.'

Importantly, Ishihara wants fans to say 'this is what I've been waiting for' when the game emerges from its Poke Ball, and promises 'plenty of new Pokemon to encounter.' Sounds like a winner to us.

In the meantime, Pokemon Let's Go! will launch for Switch on November 16.
