What is the Synchro Machine in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Didk?

The Synchro Machine is a device that was revealed by Nintendo in a newsletter on the official website and shown during the latest trailer for the Indigo Disk DLC. This machine, allows you to synchronize with your Pokemon and see the world their your Pokemon’s point of view.

While Synchronized with your Pokemon, you will be able to move them around and battle wild Pokémon in the Terarium. This is a fresh new way to experience part of your adventure in Blueberry Academy.

Bring your friends along

The Synchro Machine isn’t something that you can only use by youself. Your friends can also use the machine while they are in your game, granting you all access to a new point of view.

Nintendo stated that you will need to “help a scientist in the Terarium” to gain access to this machine. In the trailer, it shows a group of friends using the machine to explore the Terarium as their Pokemon. Think about viewing the world as Koraidon or Miraidon. That would be very interesting.

How to get the Synchro Machine and play as Pokemon in Pokemon Indigo Disk

You can actually get the Synchro Machine very early in the Indigo Disk DLC. Once you reach the Terarium, go to the central plaza and talk to Synclaire. She is standing near the vending machines. She will ask you to help her out with her experiment. Tell her you will and then perform the experiment.

She will have you practice with the Synchro Machine by moving around as a Pokemon. After the experiment, talk to her again to start another one. This time, you will need to battle three wild Pokemon while synched to your Pokemon.

When the experiment is done, Synclaire will hand over the Synchro Machine. From this point on, you will be able to use it whenever you want. To do so, hold the L button and press the R button. This will synch you with your current lead Pokemon. You can end the synch by pressing the same buttons.
