With the launch of the second DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, fans have been hard at work progressing through the story at Blueberry Academy. And it looks like things won’t just end there, with recent leaks suggesting that we’re about to get a brand-new Mythical Pokemon with the reveal of a supposed Mythical Pecha Berry.

This is especially exciting news for Pokemon fans, as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet hasn’t featured any new Mythical Pokemon thus far, making this the very first one. With Pokemon Sword and Shield featuring multiple over its lifetime, players will be hoping that this marks the start of more Mythical Pokemon being introduced into this Generation’s game.

Data miners from the reputable leakers Centro Leaks have revealed the existence of an apparent new Pokemon named Pecharunt, which is set to release via a future in-game event. This event will see players receive the Mythical Pecha Berry which, when used, will trigger an event in-game, allowing players to access and catch the new Pokemon.

According to the leak, the event’s music and text data can already be found in the game’s files, and the event will feature cameos from characters like Nemona, Arven, Penny, and some previously leaked zombie characters.

Another prominent leaker, mattyoukhana, shared a video on Twitter/X which appears to show Pecharunt’s signature move, Malignant Chain, a Poison-type move which sees a purple chain wrapped around the enemy to deal damage.

Whatever role Pecharunt will play in the story, it certainly looks to be an exciting event on the horizon. Unfortunately, we’re simply going to have to wait a while before we can actually get our hands on it. In the meantime, players will have to make do with their time in Blueberry Academy with the Indigo Disk DLC.
