Kinect Star Wars will feature a mode dedicated to the high-speed art of Podracing, Microsoft has announced.

The Kinect Star Wars’ Podracing game mode gives fans a chance to compete alongside the surviving racers of the Boonta Eve in recognisable pods and other unlockable vehicles found in the Star Wars universe.

Previously shown content for the game includes the Jedi mode unveiled at E3, which features Lightsaber combat and Force movement. Players will take part in Jedi duels with an array of fan favourites from the Star Wars universe.

Kinect Star Wars hopes to bring the Star Wars universe to life like never before, thanks to the controller-free experience offered by Kinect.

The game will be released this holiday season.
