PlayStation has just unveiled what could well be one of the worst controllers of all time. The Limited Edition PlayStation F.C. DualShock 4 wireless controller invites you to ‘join the world’s biggest club and score in style,’ although I wouldn’t apply the term ‘style’ to any aspect of this controller.

PlayStation has exceeded the painfully awful Destiny 2 DualShock 4 with this absolute travesty. The (thankfully) limited edition DualShock 4 wireless controller comes in Everton blue and features the PlayStation F.C. badge on the right-side, and an 18-yard box on the TouchPad. The left-side is adorned with what I can only describe as a very poor combination of PlayStation symbols and poor attempt at football tactics written on a board. It’s terrible. It’s even worse than when Alex Ferguson brought Bebe to Manchester United without ever seeing him play.

It’s very easy to continue on with the snark, but it’s quite clear that this controller was designed by someone with no real interest in football as a sport. There are so many things wrong with this, it’s beyond half-arsed.

The DualShock 4 will be released on September 29, just in time to ‘celebrate the kick off of another epic season of football on PS4’, which begins on August 11. It gets better when you realise the controller isn’t even being released in the UK. Y’know, the home of football, not soccer. For that fact, I have to thank PlayStation.
