Executive producer at developer Bluehole Studio, Chang Han Kim, has told VG247 that the development house is eager to see PC and Xbox One players battling it out together, across both platforms.

‘Cross network play between the PC and the console is definitely something we want to do down the road, and we don’t anticipate we’ll have any technical issues with that,’ Kim said before going on to address the mouse and keyboard vs. controller argument. Kim acknowledges that there’s a balance issue there, which he states is ‘what’s making it difficult for us to do right away.’

‘If we’re going to allow players to use controllers we need to have the aim assist added in and things like that. We’re not going to be supporting it right away, but it’s something we’d like to look into later.’

Cross-play seems to be in the news a lot lately since all of the Minecraft chatter at E3. I’m sure Xbox One players would welcome the challenge of those on PC when the game comes to Microsoft’s home console, later this year. But as Kim said, there’s a few things to iron out first.
