Activision is offering you a chance to test out the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty: WWII for free on Steam this weekend. The taster is actually available right now and runs until 9.00pm GMT on February 25.

The good news is that you’ll be able to carry over your progress to the full game should you decide to purchase it, including any items in your inventory and unlockables. There’s no level cap mentioned or any other restrictions seemingly in place, so it looks like it’s all up for grabs in terms of content.

It’s not a bad time to invest in the World War II shooter either, as Activision’s lopped 35 percent off the standard edition’s price, as well as offering a 25 percent discount on the Call of Duty: WWII Digital Deluxe Edition.

Activision confirmed overnight that The Resistance DLC will hit PC and Xbox One versions of the game in early March. In addition, developer Sledgehammer Games revealed this week that both of its founders have now departed the studio for pastures new.Â
