The next instalment of the hugely popular tower defense Plants vs Zombies could be a multiplayer shooter inspired by Team Fortress 2.
Kotaku cites a “Canadian industry source with ties to Electronic Arts” who told the site a team at EA’s Burnaby campus is working on a new Plants vs Zombies game.
According to the source, its a multiplayer-centric shooter for home consoles “in the vein of Team Fortress 2”.
The project is rumoured to be in very early stages of development, but is due to be submitted for approval to PopCap this month.
