Pit People will enter Xbox One Game Preview and Steam Early Access on January 13, The Behemoth has announced.

The early access date follows two closed betas which took place in September and October.

The Behemoth says the game is now at a state where the core gameplay is complete, and it’s a case of adding content until the full version is released.

“We feel that Pit People is at a point where we’ll confidently say there’s more than enough fun, content, variety, value and play-time to keep someone happy,” explained the studio. “We won’t sell something unless it meets these standards, so it definitely seems like it is time!  This will also be a good opportunity to monitor the balance in the game and continue getting feedback from the gaming community as we finish up!”

Early Access and Game Preview players will get a “sizeable chunk of the Story mission, plus access to several world maps (yes, there are more than one!), quests, Unfair Challenge against the AI, and Versus mode”. You have the option of tackling the game solo or with a friend, whilst up to four players can go at it in the 2v2 versus mode. All multiplayer modes are possible locally or online.

The game will be continually developed throughout Early Access, adding more quests, collectable items, story missions, world maps and other stuff.

Buy the game before it exits Early Access and you’ll save $5 on the regular $20 price.
