Fez 2 has been cancelled and its creator Phil Fish will take an indefinite break from game development, Fish has announced.
This weekend saw Fish bombarded with abusive Tweets after he declined to offer his thoughts on Xbox One policies. It was the latest in ongoing abuse the Fez creator has been subjected to on Tiwtter.
Posting on Polytron’s official blog, Fish wrote: “FEZ II is cancelled. i am done. i take the money and i run. this is as much as i can stomach. this is isn’t the result of any one thing, but the end of a long, bloody campaign. you win.”
Fez certainly has a strong fan base, fans who will hope Fish decides to return to development after a break from the firing line.
