Nintendo has announced that classic RPG Paper Mario will be available to subscribers of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack next week.

The 2001 classic is the first N64 game to be added to the service after it launched back in October. The game sees our favourite plumber head into a paper-ised version of the Mushroom Kingdom. This time the villain has imprisoned seven Star Spirits along with Princess Peach. Mario sets out to rescue all of them from the clutches of Bowser.

In case you’re somehow not aware, the game eschews Mario’s traditional platforming fare for a turn based RPG. While not the first (or last) time this would be be done, a distinct paper aesthetic gives the Paper Mario series a unique feel of its own.  It’s also bolstered by some very funny writing.

Paper Mario is one of several further N64 games to be added to the service over the next few months. We’ve also been promised The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Banjo-Kazooie, Pokémon Snap, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Mario Golf and F-Zero X. Already on the service are classics like Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64 and more.
