Bandai Namco & ILCA Inc have announced One Piece Odyssey, a new RPG based on the popular manga and anime series

One Piece Odyssey will see Monkey D. Luffy and the gang swallowed by a huge storm while out at sea. Washing up on a mysterious island, the crew of the Thousand Sunny are completely split up and broken apart. You’ll have to explore the island, deal with strange encounters from the locals and powerful enemies and try and get the crew back together to set sail once more.

As well as Luffy, you’ll get to play as Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Frankie and Brook. However, you’ll also meet new characters created specifically for the game such as Adio. These characters and the story have been designed with the co-operation of the series’ original author Eiichiro Oda. So hopefully, they’ll fit right in. The announcement declares they intend to have this new game “rooted in canon” to keep fans happy. And it makes sense, as this game is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the original manga’s release.

You can check out the game’s debut trailer for yourself down below. One Piece Odyssey will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC at some point later in 2022.
