Those of you who fancy keeping hold of your Super Smash Bros. Ultimate replays had better save them, and sharpish: Nintendo will wipe them with the game's next update.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate update 1.2.0 (via Nintendo Everything) will drop in the next week or so, and current replays won't be compatible with this version of the game. As a result, the Big N has recommended that you save them before the patch arrives.

It's simple to do. Just pop on over to the Vault, hit up Replays, then Replay Data, and punch the Convert to Video option.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arrived on Switch last Friday, and shot to the top of the UK All Format Chart, giving the series its best launch sales of all time. In addition, it's also the biggest Switch release to date, beating out the likes of Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The online mode is reportedly a bit of a mess right now, however, so hopefully Ninty will patch things up soon enough.
