Nintendo Switch brawler Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has debuted in first place on the UK All Format Chart, giving the console its biggest launch to date.

Weekend sales of the crossover fighting game beat those of other major Switch titles, including both Pokemon Let's Go titles, Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That's pretty impressive.

In addition, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also gave the franchise its biggest ever launch in the UK, with sales up 300% over the the Wii U entry in the franchise.

Meanwhile, Just Cause 4 entered at number six, with physical sales down over 60% on its predecessor. This seems to be the case with a lot of big game sequels this year, to be honest, so perhaps brand fatigue is starting to kick in (or maybe people are buying more games digitally).
