Nintendo has announced that the fourth game in the massively popular Final Fantasy series will be released for the GBA on December 12th in North America. The game will be published by Nintendo themselves and will feature over 30 hours of gameplay. Final Fantasy IV features 18 towns and castles, dozens of magic spells and hundreds of monsters.

Additional game elements have been added to the Game Boy Advance version, which sees you explore on land, on sea and in the air in an attempt to recover the stolen crystals. There is no word on a European release, but we expect an announcement sometime soon, given that Final Fantasy I & II as well as Tactics were both released on these shores.
