Update: Super Mario Marker will be released on September 11 for the Wii U, Nintendo revealed during its e3 Nintendo Direct. The game will come complete with a special book, housed inside a special case alongside the game.

Nintendo has renamed the upcoming Mario Maker ‘Super Mario Maker’. Now that the game has been around on Wii U and 3DS for years now, it’s time to consider the best monitor for Nintendo Switch instead.

The announcement was somewhat quietly-made during the Nintendo World Championships at E3. Skip to around the 3:29:00 mark to watch the final of the tournament and the renaming of the game:

Mario Maker allows players to create their own 2D Mario levels using designs from 8-bit, 16-bit and even the New Super Mario Bros. skins. Levels can be as challenging as you see fit.

After originally being scheduled to launch in the first half of 2015, the game will now launch in September to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the franchise.
