A firmware update for the 3DS is set to go live on November 4, according to a Tweet by a journalist who attended a Nintendo Europe event yesterday – later picked up by Nintendo World Report.
The update will supposedly introduce 3D video recording and a new StreetPass game, and improve the eShop. Nintendo is yet to confirm the firmware update and its contents.
A new StreetPass game sounds good and 3D video recording is a nice gimmick, but the 3DS will only start to impress once a string of excellent titles hit the handheld. Hopefully Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land will be those titles.
