The CEO of Level-5 has confirmed that lush-looking JRPG Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be flexing some serious graphical muscle on the PS4 Pro.

Speaking with WCCFTech, Akihiro Hino revealed that those of you who own a regular PS4 can enjoy High Dynamic Range (HDR), while PS4 Pro owners will get dynamic 4K resolution and a buttery-smooth 60fps. This is great news, as the game looks bloody gorgeous when running on a bog-standard PS4 as it is.

Elsewhere, Hino-san was quizzed on the possibility of seeing a spruced up version of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for the PS4. In response, he said ‘currently, it is undecided but I’m happy to hear these requests from fan players.’

Given the ubiquity of remasteres in today’s market we certainly wouldn’t rule it out, although we’ll have to wait and see. For the record, we loved the first Ni no Kuni, so be sure to pick it up if you haven’t yet done so.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is due for release on PS4 and PC on March 23. Have a gander at the latest gameplay footage to see how things are coming along.
