Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, in development exclusively for PSP, is the latest instalment in the multi-million selling franchise from LucasArts. The game tells the story of a ragtag ensemble of battle-hardened rogues and scoundrels assembled by Han Solo.

Players will find themselves in battles spanning the galaxy, including locations such as the Valley of the Sith on Korriban and a dog fight in space through the remains of Alderaan.

Renegade Squadron will offer players robust customisation options that replace the class system seen in the previous Star Wars Battlefront games, giving rise to millions of possible unique combatants. Players will be able to select equipment and abilities meaning no two players will look or perform exactly the same.

The most exciting feature is the inclusion of online play for up to 16 players, or eight player action over local wireless.

Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron is scheduled for release exclusively for PSP in September.
