A sequel to Zone of the Enders has been teased by Hideo Kojima at a press event in Japan.

According to reports from press at the event, the new Enders Project is in an “experimental” phase, but it’s being developed on the new Fox game engine. The game will be a full sequel to the previous game, The 2nd Runner, released on PS2 back in 2003.

Details are still being ironed out, but the sequel is reported to take place within an ancient civilisation.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection is currently in development.
