Sega has released two new trailers for the upcoming Yakuza 2 remake: Yakuza Kiwami 2. The story trailer shows Kiryu Kazama, Goro Majima and a number of Tojo Clan members that those who played this year’s Yakuza 0, or Yakuza Kiwami, will recognise.

The gameplay trailer released on the game’s official Japanese YouTube channel shows off the combat and a number of the mini-games you can expect.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 uses the Dragon Engine that was used in Yakuza 6, prior to the prequel and the remake of the series’ first entry. It is set to launch on PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 7, this year. No word on a North American or European release date yet, sadly.

My Japanese is rusty so I’m not sure of all the details, but I can certainly appreciate how this looks, and now you can too by clicking the play buttons on both of these videos.
