The latest update includes a brand new map, classic maps from GR2, new game types, loads of new weapons, and one new kit restriction. The new map, Province, is a wooded night map with lots of cover. Two separate villages make for plenty of close-quarter combat and calls for well planned squad tactics. The maps Battle and Sand Mine from GR2 are also included in the update and are now fully playable in Summit Strike.

The new game modes included in the update are Headhunter, a firefight in which two teams battle a platoon of enemy soldiers to score points; Blind Siege, an alternative version of the Siege and Double Siege game types, now with randomized siege zones; and Capture the Flag, your usual team based game where the objective is to capture the other team’s flag whilst maintaining possession of your own.

You will get plenty of new weapons to play with, seven to be precise: The M16 rife, A2 SD, AUG, AUG/M203P, SCAR-L/EGLM, and the M1a SR. Fans of the game have been asking for it so Ubisoft has made it happen; a new one kit restriction has also been added, allowing restricted used of Lone Wolf and Launched Explosives in multiplayer modes.

The update is out now and is free via Xbox Live. If you are playing on an Xbox 360 then early reports indicate that the update works just fine, unlike the recent Chaos Theory map pack.
