Cassie Cage is joining the roster for Mortal Kombat 11, but if you watched yesterday's story trailer, you already knew that. All the same, NetherRealm has taken it upon itself to pump out a new trailer confirming the return of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade's gun-toting daughter.
Cassie Cage hasn't been around in the Mortal Kombat universe for that long. She debuted in 2015's Mortal Kombat X, where she serves as sergeant in the United States Army Special Forces, and specialises in both close and long-range combat. One of her Fatalities has her taking a selfie with her opponent's corpse, before uploading it on social media. Brilliant.
Her reveal trailer for MK11 sees her slugging it out with Kano, who is one of Sonya's main rivals. We're also treated to a look at one of Cage's finishers, where she shoots her victim repeatedly before bisecting them with a swift kick to the groin. Ouch.
Mortal Kombat 11 is punching its way into stores on April 23 for PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. I played it at the game's reveal event back in January, and came away pretty impressed.
