NetherRealm has pumped out a story-centric trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, confirming a bunch of returning characters for the bloody brawler in the process.
Cassie Cage, Erron Black, and Jacqui Briggs will all be playable characters in the game, joining previously confirmed combatants such as Johnny Cage, Jade, Kabal, Kano, and more. But not Shaggy, in case you wondered.
What's more, due to the fact time travel seems to be a big thing this time around (thanks to newcomer Kronika), you'll be able to witness scenes such as Johnny Cage teaming up with a young version of himself. NetherRealm's story modes in the last few Mortal Kombat games have been pretty decent, and it looks like this one is shaping up nicely, too.
Let's just hope that Raiden won't bugger up the timeline again this time, eh?
Mortal Kombat 11 is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on April 23.
