We have a new FIFA Interactive World Cup champion. Alfonso Ramos from Spain beat 2009 champion Bruce Grannec to lift the trophy he previously won back in 2008.

The final was a close match, with Ramos only claiming victory on penalties after the final ended goalless. He won glory, as well as $20,000 and a ticket to the Ballon d’Or Gala.

You might think Ramos is getting on a bit, having won the event four years ago, but he’s still only 21.

“When I won in 2008 I think there were maybe 100,000 players and now it’s over a million. It’s become so very hard,” said Ramos.
