The latest update to Baldur’s Gate 3 adds multiple new romance interactions for its main party of lovable characters. Introduced in Patch 7, alongside the already-cracked mod support, fans are already falling in love with Larian’s new love stories.
Baldur’s Gate 3 spices up romance
For those of us who love the romantic banter between our favourite ships, BG3’s newest update adds more dialogue and cute animated interactions to get your heart fluttering.
One particularly spicy interaction between Karlach and Gale discusses new ways to “express love”. While Karlach assumes the mage will teach her the many saucy ways the Mage Hand spell can be used, the Wizard reveals he was just hinting at writing poetry.
“Oops, sorry. But… now that I think of it… is Mage Hand especially hard to learn?” the fiery Tiefling asks.
It seems that every potential pairing has been given some love in the latest Baldur’s Gate 3 update. One player deep into their Karlach and Wyll romance route finally added some cute banter between the two.
“Patch 7 rolled out when I was completing Act 3 with Karlach x Wyll,” one player said. “Never heard a single line of romantic banter in my 1000+ hours before, and then suddenly everyone has some sh*t to give the lovebirds!”

With one of the biggest video game scripts ever made, Baldur’s Gate 3 is a massive piece of literature in game form. Following the arrival of new romance interactions, it’s also one of the best pieces of romantic literature you can experience on PC and console.
With countless fanfiction pieces created for the RPG’s characters and official smut scenes in the game between all of them, BG3 is already a haven for players who adore shipping. Hopefully, with even more updates on the way to add crossplay, photo mode and other goodies, more romance tidbits will be added as well.
