Naraka: Bladepoint will be revealed during The Game Awards 2019, and it seems to be a soberly stylish soulslike game from publisher NetEase Games (via Destructoid).
NetEase Games’ portfolio includes the Westward Journey series, New Ghost, Tianxia III, Revelation, Demon Seals, Hegemon – King of Western Chu, Rules Of Survival, and Knives Out. In addition, the company works with Blizzard Entertainment to develop and publish its games Diablo Immortal, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft within China. And, it’s also got stakes in Destiny developer Bungie and Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream.

So, Naraka: Bladepoint is a bolt from the blue. We don’t know what it’s about or which platforms it’s targeting, only that, “where cold steel collides and blood runs dry, souls blossom.” Based on the imagery and the description, Naraka: Bladepoint sounds soulslike. It also seems to be set in the midst of an epic conflict, and that person dressed all in red could be our protagonist. Or, they could be an antagonist who’s gotten a little carried away with that “soulbloom” idea, and wants to create a whole garden of death flowers. Ambitious, but ill-advised. However, this is all speculation and we’ll get the answers to our questions tomorrow. But, it’s an interesting venture from NetEase Games that is known for its mobile games and licensed titles.
Naraka: Bladepoint will be shown off at The Game Awards on December 12.
