A version of retro emulator Nesbox will launch for Xbox One as soon as this weekend, the developer has announced after the app passed certification.

Nesbox is a "multiplatform emulator of video consoles. You can play your favourite NES, Super Nintendo, SEGA Genesis and GameBoy Color/Advanced games" using the app by loading Roms stored on USB.

Nesbox will be free to download.

It seems bizarre that such an app will actually be available to download on Xbox One, but the developer seems confident it will happen.

However, the Nesbox Twitter account adds: "There is always a chance that you can be deleted from the store by the complaint from Nintendo for example".
