Need For Speed’s widely-criticised ‘rubber banding’ AI is to be patched in a future game update, developer Ghost Games has confirmed.
The new patch, which Ghost expects to release before the end of November, will provide “more balanced ‘AI Catch Up'” to help ensure players aren’t unfairly overtaken by rival AI racers.
The patch will also include the “first look” at neons, increase the REP cap from 50 to 60 and introduce 3 new Trophies and Achievements. You can catch a brief look at all the planned changes below.
- More balanced ‘AI Catch Up’
- New Wrap Editor features: Mirror functionality, Improved colour picker
- Hoonicorn and Morohoshi-San Diablo gifted upon completion of their respective narrative threads
- First look at neons
- Early in development version on Morohoshi-San’s Diablo
- REP increase 50-60
- 3x Trophies & Achievements
- New daily challenges
- x30 new pre-set wraps
- General bugs, tweaks and improvements
The patch is the first of multiple game updates heading to Need For Speed, which are expected to introduce a “substantial amount” of free DLC.
Need For Speed is available now on Xbox One and PS4, with a PC version due to follow in early 2016.
