Need for Speed will launch for PC on March 17, complete with a range of improvements which may have made the wait worthwhile.

Sure PS4 and Xbox One gamers have been playing since November, but PC gamers with the specs to handle it can enjoy 4K visuals running at an unlocked frame rate.

“The extra development time has allowed us to create the definitive NFS PC experience,” says Ghost Games.

The PC version will also offer the option for Manual Transmission, will ship with support for a range of steering wheels, and will also contain all the improvements and tweaks made up to now on the console editions – including both the Icons and Legends. The Showcase update is expected shortly after launch.

EA Origin Access members will be able to play Need for Speed for a limited time from March 10.

There’s some good news for console gamers too, with Manual Transmission set to be implemented in an upcoming update.
